Consequently any "telephone" or "computer"estimates are "ballpark" figures only. All prices quoted are plus VAT. Any work that you feel able to carry out yourself (stripping of lights, bumpers, trim etc.) will obviously reduce the ultimate cost. Accident repairs and small jobs can be more accurately estimated, but restorations and larger projects quite often involve unexpected problems and require extra work. In these instances we would not proceed with the extra work until the job had been discussed with and cleared with the owner. Any long term projects will normally be invoiced on a monthly basis, thus helping spread the cost for the customer (and smoothing our cashflow!). If you have checked through the jobs on our website, we have tried to show how much work goes into each one. This is because every task takes time and everyone knows that time equals money. The more time you can spend on a car or a bike, the better the results will be! If you have a budget for your project, don't forget that the paintwork will always be the first thing you see. This could mean that if you have money for paint and a sound system with a million watts, it may be better to save for the system afterwards and concentrate on the bodywork. Concours and show work can be done, but we can't give an estimate for this as it will take as long as it takes and cannot be rushed to keep within a budget. This does not mean that the cost will be extortionately expensive, it's just going to be what it's going to be! Remember, decide what you want, what your limit is, and whether you are prepared to compromise. If you aren't, keep saving and don't forget we take staged payments and credit cards. You should certainly shop around, but make sure you see some evidence of their work (photos, website, work in progress etc.). If they are only used to everyday standards of work, they may not be able to produce the standard of finish that you want for your pride and joy.
